Anil’s academic work at the Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI), where he was a Professor of Finance till January 2006, has included training and consulting assignments in Corporate and Business Finance, Formulation of Growth Strategy and Risk Management. Anil was with the College for over 12 years starting 1993 after completing his doctoral studies at IIM, Ahmedabad. While at the College, he has worked on training/consulting assignments for several domestic and international firms across Asia. Anil has also done consulting assignments in the energy sector in India. He was an honorary member of the Study Committee on Financing the Global Energy Sector- the Task Ahead, World Energy Council, London, UK during 1996-97 and has subsequently worked with them on Pricing of Energy in Developing Countries.
Anil has been an adjunct faculty at the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore and Vizag and taught a course on Valuation. He is also an honorary Senior Professor of Finance and Strategy at the Centre for Organisation Development, Hyderabad. He has taught courses on Corporate Finance at Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad; Bank Performance Analysis, Financial Engineering and Risk Management at IIM Indore, and; Advanced Corporate Finance at the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad. He has also supervised dissertations for the Distance Learning MBA Programme of the Manchester Business School, UK and the Executive MBA programme at S P Jain, Dubai.
Anil practices as an independent self-employed professional helping firms build growth capability through his customized learning solutions in Business and Corporate Finance and Strategy. Anil’s corporate finance work covers areas like Risk Management and Valuation. His business finance work includes financial and business analytics, focusing on allocation of resources to drive profitable growth. His strategy focused-programmes attempt to put customer at the centre of discussion on strategy, using the customer-value framework. He has developed a customisable simulation that combines strategy formulation, implementation and business performance analysis.
His industry experience includes management accounts, business development and financial accounting assignments with Smithkline Beecham Consumer Health Limited, Delhi from 1983 to 1986 and executive (Business Head) responsibilities with Scientific Engineering (P) Limited, Hyderabad from 1986 to 1990.

Anil has worked on training assignments in Australia, China, Hungary, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Kenya, Korea, Malaysia, Mauritius, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Oman, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Taiwan, Thailand, UAE, etc.
Anil is serving as an independent director on Megasoft’s Board, which is a medium-sized product and services focused technology firm based in India. He has served a term on the Board of Directors of Andhra Bank and has worked as a member of Technical Experts Committee for Restructuring of Punjab and Sind Bank. He has also been on the Board of VisualSoft Technologies Limited as an independent director.
