The Office of Career Development Services (CDS) at IIM Visakhapatnam, in coordination with the Student Placement Committee, facilitates the Summer Internship Placements and Final Placements of the Institute. The office, led by the CDS Chairperson & Coordinator and guided by the CDS Faculty Committee, provides policy guidance, governance, and institutional alignment, and operates in a transparent manner.
CDS office works relentlessly to create an enabling ecosystem where students, after undergoing a demanding and enriching academic experience, are well-prepared to meet industry expectations. From early-stage career awareness to structured preparation and final recruiter engagement, the CDS office remains actively involved throughout the placement cycle.
The Student Placement Committee (PlaceCom) acts as a vital link between recruiters, students, and the Institute, ensuring a transparent and structured placement process. Through tireless effort, long working hours, and unwavering commitment, the members support and guide their fellow batchmates & their juniors at every stage of the placement journey.
The Student Preparation Committee (PrepCom), which anchors student readiness initiatives, conducts JD analysis sessions, CV preparation workshops, mock group discussions, mock interviews, and role-specific training programmes, working closely with the CDS office and external industry experts to ensure that students are adequately prepared for recruiter interactions.
Together, the Office of Career Development Services, led by the CDS Chairperson & Coordinator, the CDS Faculty Committee, the Student Placement Committee, and the Preparation Committee, strive to uphold the Institute’s reputation by delivering a placement process that reflects academic rigour, ethical governance, and strong industry engagement—culminating in rewarding career opportunities for students and lasting partnerships with recruiters.
