Values
At the foundation of our mission, vision, goals, as well as daily operations are the following core values:

  • Academic freedom: This value is vital for fostering an academic environment where ideas, theories, and perspectives can be openly discussed and debated. Academic freedom encourages students, faculty, staff, and other stakeholders to explore diverse viewpoints, challenge conventional wisdom, and engage in innovative thinking without fear of censorship or retribution. This freedom is crucial for entrepreneurial leaders who need to think creatively and be open to unconventional solutions.
  • Equity: Emphasis on equity ensures fair treatment, access, opportunity, and advancement for all students, faculty, and staff  - regardless of their background or circumstances. This value emphasizes the importance of creating an inclusive and diverse learning environment that respects and values different perspectives. For entrepreneurial leaders, understanding and practicing equity is crucial for building and managing diverse teams, creating products and services that cater to a wide range of customers, and leading organizations in a global environment.
  • Excellence: Striving for excellence means aspiring for the highest possible standards in all aspects of education and operations. This value drives students, faculty, and staff to deliver their best work and continually improve their performance. For entrepreneurial leaders, a commitment to excellence is essential for creating high-quality products and services, fostering a culture of high performance, maintaining a competitive edge for their organizations, and making a positive societal impact.
  • Professionalism: This core value refers to the standards of behaviour and ethical practices expected in an academic and professional context. Professionalism in business education involves teaching students about the importance of reliability, responsibility, integrity, and respect in their professional conduct. For entrepreneurial leaders, displaying professionalism is key to building trust with associates, maintaining positive relationships with various stakeholders, and creating a reputable and sustainable business.
  • Sustainability: In today's world, sustainability is crucial for any organization. Fostering sustainability involves teaching future entrepreneurial leaders about the importance of making decisions that are not only economically sound but are also environmentally responsible and beneficial for society at large. Sustainability in business education encourages entrepreneurial leaders to consider the long-term impact of their actions on the planet and society and to innovate in ways that contribute to a sustainable future. Sustainability shall not only be taught as a part of the curriculum or investigated via research but also exemplified by the institute, engaging in sustainable practices as a part of its educational approaches and operations.

By upholding these core values, the institute not only imparts essential techno-managerial skills and knowledge, but also shapes the character and mindset of future entrepreneurial leaders who choose to attend it. These values guide IIMV students toward becoming responsible, ethical, and innovative leaders prepared to face the challenges of the modern business world and make a positive societal impact.
