Prof.Bhavya has completed PhD in Information Systems from IIM Bangalore. Her research topics include new governance models in the context of IT outsourcing and emerging digital innovations, IT outsourcing contract analysis, and the role of IT in entrepreneurial value creation. A paper from her dissertation work has won the ‘Best Short Paper in Track’ award at the prestigious International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS) 2020, the premier conference of the Association for Information Systems (AIS). She has presented her research at many international conferences of repute such as the AOM annual meeting, ICIS, ACIS and IFIP working group conferences. She is a recipient of PhD student grants and awards including the Accounting and Computing Machinery-Women scholarship award, AIS and AOM TIM division doctoral student grants. She was a visiting PhD student at the University of Cologne, Germany under the DAAD scholarship. Prior to her PhD, she has worked in the IT industry for about 5 years in various technical roles at IBM and TCS in Bangalore and Germany (on deputation).
