The Institute welcomed the 2nd batch of the Post Graduate Program in Digital Governance and Management (PGP-DGM) on 22 May 2021. Shri Ajay Sawhney, Secretary, MeitY, GoI, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, and briefed the gathering about how the digital technologies are going to be a significant part of almost all the solutions in the future. Giving the example of language technologies, he emphasized on the role it plays in a diverse country like India. He also spoke about the way in which the digital technologies can burst the silos in government and redesign the monopoly by bringing in a competitive edge towards increasing the efficiency in delivering public services. 

The keynote address was delivered by Shri Abhishek Singh, President & CEO, NeGD, MeitY, GoI, who highlighted the relevance of PGP-DGM program in strengthening the ‘people’ pillar of the four pillars (people, process, technology, and resources) which will help India to take the digital leap. He talked about the role this program would play in developing India-based case studies of digital governance. Prof. M Chandrasekhar, Director, IIM Visakhapatnam, and Prof. Neena Pandey, Chair, PGP-DGM, also addressed the audience. 

The virtual event was attended by a few eminent board of members of the Institute like Prof. G. Raghuram, the participants of the 1st and 2nd batch of PGP-DGM program, and several other dignitaries from academia, practice and government. 

The PGP-DGM program, launched under the aegis of the National e-Governance Division (NeGD), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Govt. of India (GoI), is designed to provide customized training in digital governance to experienced professionals and catalyze the footprint and impact of Digital India.
