For Summer Internship Placements as well as the Final Placements of students, the dedicated Career Development Services (CDS) office of IIMV Visakhapatnam works closely with the Placement Committee (PlaceCom) of students. The CDS of IIMV avails need-based guidance from the CDS office at IIMB.

IIM Visakhapatnam has rented whole buildings on exclusive occupancy basis to serve as hostels. These are located not very far from IIMV of the campus. The Institute arranges transportation for students commuting between hostels and the campus.
Hostel rooms are allotted on a double occupancy basis. The rooms are well-equipped with modern facilities and amenities for a comfortable stay and conducive to learning.
No. However, there are separate wings/floors in the hostels identified and reserved for exclusive occupancy by girls. The Institute is proud that it has a good record of diversity (about one-third of students have been girls).
No. IIM Visakhapatnam does not provide family accommodation for married students.
The program fee for the PGP 2022-24 batch is INR 15,04,920/- for two-years (i.e., per term INR 2,50,820/-). This is a consolidated sum. Additionally, an amount of INR 25,000/- per term will be charged towards advance for mess and other expenses. There are no other charges levied by the Institute for any of the facilities or amenities provided.
In Phase-2, from among the reconfirmed candidates, a second shortlist will be announced for the personal interview stage.
Candidates who have been shortlisted in phase-2 of IIMV but have also been shortlisted / interviewed (only for PGP/ PGPM Program 2022) by any one or more of the IIMs at Bangalore/Calcutta/Kozhikode/Indore/Lucknow will not have to appear for personal interview of IIM Visakhapatnam. The personal interview score at these IIMs will be considered by IIMV.
Candidates who have been shortlisted in phase-2 of IIMV but have not been shortlisted / interviewed by any of the above IIMs will be required to appear for a Personal Interview to be conducted by IIMV.
The next stage of the admission is Phase-3. From the shortlisted candidates in Phase -2, multiple criteria are used to arrive at a composite score for every candidate to shortlist the candidates in Phase-3. These multiple criteria/parameters include the components namely (a) CAT; (b) 10th Board; (c) 12th Board; (d) Bachelors; (e) Diversity; (f) Work experience or professional courses; (g)Personal Interview. Based on the composite score, candidates will be offered admission.
