What are the admission requirements at IIM Visakhapatnam for the PGP program?
  • Candidates should have opted for IIM Visakhapatnam during registration for CAT 2023, and Candidates should secure the minimum percentile mentioned in the Table below in each category in CAT 2023, to be shortlisted for Phase-1 of the admission process:

I was shortlisted in phase 1 of the PGP 2024-26 admission process of IIMV and submitted an application online by the due date. What will be the next stage of admission?

In Phase-2, among the application submitted candidates, a second shortlist will be announced for the personal interview stage based on the Pre-PI cut-offs. All the personal Interview shortlisted candidates should fill ‘Interview Consent form’. The Personal Interview will be scheduled to only those candidates who submitted the ‘Interview Consent form’ on the admissions portal within the stipulated time provided by IIMV.

  • Candidates who have been shortlisted for Phase 2 of IIMV but have also been shortlisted/interviewed (only for PGP/ PGPM Program 2024) by any one or more of the IIMs at Bangalore/Kozhikode/Indore/Lucknow will not have to appear for personal interview of IIM Visakhapatnam. The personal interview score at these IIMs will be considered by IIMV.
  • Candidates who have been shortlisted for Personal Interview of IIMV but have not been shortlisted/interviewed by any of the above IIMs will be required to appear for a Personal Interview to be conducted by IIM Visakhapatnam.

The subsequent stage of the admission process is Phase-3. During this phase, candidates shortlisted in Phase-2 will undergo evaluation using multiple criteria to determine a composite score. These multiple criteria/parameters include the components namely (a) CAT; (b) 10th  Board; (c) 12th Board; (d) Bachelors; (e) Gender Diversity; (f) Work experience or professional courses; (g)Personal Interview. Based on the composite score, candidates will be offered admission.

What is the fee for the PGP program 2024-26 at IIM Visakhapatnam?

How much do I have to pay while accepting my admission offer?

You will need to pay an initial acceptance fee of INR 50,000/- (It is a part of the Term-1 fee). More details regarding the payment will be sent along with the admission offer letter.

Can I avail the Education loan facility for the PGP program at IIM Visakhapatnam?

Yes. IIM Visakhapatnam admissions office will provide the details of various banks offering Education loans to the PGP admission offered candidates along with the admission offer letter.

When will be the program Registration for the PGP 2024-26 batch of IIM Visakhapatnam?

The program registration for the PGP 2024-26 batch at IIM Visakhapatnam is tentatively scheduled for the last week of June 2024.

How will placements be handled at IIM Visakhapatnam?

The placement process at IIMV involves two parts:

  1. Summer Placements for internships
  2. Final Placements for full-time jobs.

It is managed by the Career Development Services (CDS) Office and the Student Placement Committee (SPC). The Recruitment process for both Finals and Summer Placements begin from September and go on till January.
