Post Graduate Diploma in Management for Executives (PGDMEx) Batch of 2025
The admission process for the PGDMEx 2025 batch is designed to identify experienced professionals who demonstrate strong leadership potential, intellectual curiosity, and the drive to grow into senior management roles. The process follows a holistic evaluation approach using multiple parameters, including academic background, relevant work experience, aptitude for management, and interpersonal competencies.
Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for admission into the PGDMEx program the candidate must satisfy the below criteria.
- The candidate must be an Indian national residing in India.
- Educational Qualification
- The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA [45% in the case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disability (PwD) categories], awarded by any University or educational institution as incorporated by an Act of Parliament or State legislature in India or declared to be deemed as an University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognised by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
- The degree must be of a minimum of three years duration post higher secondary schooling (10+2).
- The candidate must have a minimum of three years of full-time work experience (after completion of Graduation) in a supervisory, executive, or officer role as on the closing date of application.
- Part-time work, clerical roles (non-supervisory/non-executive), internships, training, Article-ship, and apprenticeships shall not be considered as eligible work experience.
- The minimum work experience criteria remain the same (three years) across all categories
Application Process:
- Online Application: To apply, you must complete the online application by filling in the required information on the portal (link).
- Application fee: Applicants from all categories are required to pay a nominal fee of Rs 1000/- (non-refundable) for the application form.
- There is no upper age limit for applying to the PGDMEx program.
Selection Process:
The selection process consists of three phases:
Phase 1: Screening of Applications
- Candidates are screened based on information provided in the online application form.
- Those meeting the minimum eligibility criteria will be shortlisted for Phase 2.
- All shortlisted candidates will be required to appear for the Management and Aptitude Skills Test (MAST) and Personal Interview (PI).
- MAST and PI will be conducted online, and schedule details will be communicated to the shortlisted candidates accordingly.
- No other test scores (such as CAT, GMAT, GRE, GATE, etc.) will be considered as a substitute for MAST.
- The final selection will be based on a composite score calculated using the weights assigned to MAST and PI:

- Admission offers will be extended to candidates based on their composite scores, availability of seats, and satisfying any minimum cut-offs as determined by the Admissions Committee.
Reservation Policy:
- IIM Visakhapatnam follows the Government of India’s reservation policy applicable to Central Educational Institutions (CEIs).
Category Certificate:
Candidates applying under reserved categories must submit valid caste certificate (must be issue by the Tehsildar or above rank officer) as on date of the Program registration.
- NC-OBC: Usually valid for one year from the date of issue, if the validity was not mentioned on the certificate.
- EWS: Issued on or after April 01, 2024.
- SC/ST: Valid caste certificate as per Government norms.
- PwD: Disability certificate and Unique Disability ID Card (UDID) issued by a competent authority under RPwD Act, 2016.

- Please be aware that the admission criteria for the PGDMEx 2025 cohort may be altered at any time before the announcement of results. This document only pertains to the PGDMEx 2025 admissions cycle at IIM Visakhapatnam and should not be used to infer about future admissions processes at the institute. IIMV reserves the right to modify, change, or adopt any new admissions process it deems necessary at any time.
- Please note that if a candidate fails to participate in any stage of the admission process, they will no longer be considered for admission to the PGDMEx batch of 2025 at IIM Visakhapatnam

IIM Visakhapatnam retain the absolute right to verify the authenticity of all supporting documents at any stage of the admission process. If any false, misleading, forged, or discrepant information or documentation is detected at any point, including after the provisional admission, the institute reserves the right to revoke the admission, cancel candidature, and take appropriate legal or administrative action as deemed necessary.
Any dispute concerning Admissions for the PGDMEx Batch 2025 would be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts within the territorial jurisdiction of the city of Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh) only.
