IIM Visakhapatnam concluded the 5-day Management Development Program for
Hindustan Shipyard Limited officers on 20 November 2021. Capt. Ravi Muthusamy, IN (Retd), CGM (Submarine) HSL, was the Chief Guest for the event.

 Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam concluded the 5-day in-campus Management Development Program (MDP) organized for the officers of Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) on November 20, 2021. Addressing the gathering at the valedictory, the Chief Guest for the event, Capt. Ravi Muthusamy, IN (Retd), CGM (Submarine) HSL, spoke about the importance of working on the long-term goals for greater sustainability in the organization. 

The program, led by Prof. Balaji Subramanian and Prof. MV Anuradha, faculty at IIM Visakhapatnam, was attended by 20 HSL managers from diverse areas such as Design, Plant Maintenance, Submarine, Ship Repair, and Quality Control. The customized program covered project management, contract management, innovation, customer management, communication, stress management, and interpersonal effectiveness. Sharing the experience of the sessions, Ms. Saritha S.V., HSL, said, “The takeaway from the 5-day MDP program was enlightening as lectures panning from strategic planning to marketing helped us gain a fresh perspective. It enabled us to think out of the box when it comes to the existing problems in the organizations.”
