Training Program on Public Procurement for CPSE Officers

The Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam conducted a five-day Training Program on Public Procurement for officers from Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSE) from 5th to 9th January, under the aegis of the Procurement Policy Division, Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance, Government of India.

The programme was led by Prof. S. Chatterjee and Prof. Aalok, covering key aspects of public procurement, including procurement of goods and services, overseas procurement, dispute resolution, preparation of tender documents, and the Code of Integrity.

The programme also featured sessions by industry experts, including Shri Rajendran Kamalakanna, General Manager (Vigilance), Power Grid Corporation of India ; Shri Ashutosh Kumar Mishra, Advocate-on-Record and Central Government Panel Counsel at the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India; and expert Shri Manish Bhatia, Director, Procurement Policy Division, Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance.  

Officers from CPSEs across the country participated in the training programme, representing organizations such as IISER Mohali, Human Space Flight Centre, Ministry of Defence, Punjab National Bank, NABARD, and the 16th Finance Commission, among others. The programme concluded with a valedictory session, graced by Shri Manish Bhatia.
