NeGD supported program on Managing Large Digital Transformative Projects
Visakhapatnam, 22 July 2024: The Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam (IIMV) has inaugurated a five-day program, supported by the National E-Governance Division (NeGD), focused on "Managing Large Digital Transformative Projects."
In his Inaugural Address, Chief Guest Prof. M. Chandrasekhar, Director of IIM Visakhapatnam, spoke to the participants about Digital Transformation and Project Management. He highlighted the transformative power of Digital Public Infrastructure and emphasized the importance of ensuring economy, efficiency, and effectiveness in Digital Transformation Projects.
Prof. Neena Pandey, Programme Director, formally welcomed the participants and presented the five-day schedule, beginning what is hoped to be an insightful and enriching experience for all the participants
The program covers various aspects of digital transformation initiatives, including Digital India, the integration of AI and Emerging Technologies within governmental frameworks, and the concept of Government as a Platform. Participants will navigate the intricacies of Digital Public Infrastructures and gain insights into Digital Product & Design Thinking, Digital Marketing of Public Services, IT Project Management, and Government Process Reengineering. The curriculum also addresses essential topics like Change Management, Information Security, Digital Trust, and India Enterprise Architecture, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of contemporary challenges and opportunities in digital transformation.
The program has 30 participants from various government departments and public sector organizations.
The inaugural event concluded with a vote of thanks from Prof. Abhishek Srivastava, Program Co-Director. He expressed his sincere gratitude to Prof. M. Chandrasekhar, Director IIMV, the leadership team of NeGD, and all the other stakeholders involved in designing and conducting this program.
