Leadership and Management Development Program - Batch 02 For Officers of the Panchayat Raj & Rural Development Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh
The 2nd cohort of the Leadership and Management Development Training Program successfully concluded on 10th December. This initiative, designed for officers of the Department of Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, Government of Andhra Pradesh, is conducted under the aegis of the Andhra Pradesh State Institute of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj (APSIRDPR).
We were honoured to have Shri Ketan Garg Garu IAS, Commissioner of Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC), grace the valedictory session. He appreciated IIM Visakhapatnam for fostering a program that strengthens Panchayat Raj institutions, systems that serve nearly 70 percent of our country.
He commended the program’s well-designed modules on communication, team management, ethics, values and time management, essential skills for impactful public service. He congratulated the participants and encouraged them to keep their passion for serving communities alive.
This landmark initiative aims to train 500 Gazetted Officers of Andhra Pradesh by March 2026 across 10 cohorts and is led by Program Directors Prof. Vijaya Marisetty and Prof. Kalyan Kolukuluri.
