IIM Visakhapatnam Inaugurates Training Program for Government Leaders on Managing Large Digital Projects

The Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam (IIMV) has successfully inaugurated the second batch of its Capacity Building Program on "Managing Large Digital Transformative Projects." The five-day program, supported by the National E-Governance Division (NeGD) under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), has brought together 31 participants from various government organizations across the country.

The program is an initiative under the Digital India Programme, designed to empower government organizations to effectively manage and execute high-impact digital projects, ensuring their long-term success.

Prof. Srinivas Josyula, the Program Director, extended a warm welcome to all participants and attendees, providing an overview of the program. He emphasized the importance of the initiative in empowering government organizations to manage large-scale digital transformation projects and highlighted the critical role of the program in shaping a digitally empowered India.

The event was honoured by the presence of Chief Guest Mr. Dinesh Didel, Director of Technology Management at NeGD. In his inaugural address, Mr. Didel highlighted the program's significance in fostering a collective vision for digital transformation. “This program is not only about enhancing governance but also about impacting the daily lives of citizens across the country. It is an opportunity to drive collaboration and innovation toward a shared vision of a digitally empowered India,” he remarked.

The participants come from diverse sectors, including Town and Country Planning, Social Justice and Empowerment, Civil Aviation, Broadcasting, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), Police Departments, and more. The program focuses on areas such as digital transformation, effective utilization of AI, building digital trust, and implementing change management strategies for government officials.
Prof. Abhishek Srivastava, Program Co-director, expressed his gratitude during the vote of thanks, highlighting the support of the National e-Governance Division (NeGD) in facilitating the program. He also acknowledged the Chief Guest, faculty, staff, and participants, and extended his sincere appreciation to Prof. M. Chandrasekhar, Director of IIMV, for his leadership in fostering academic excellence and practical leadership development.
