IIM Visakhapatnam has concluded Fifth batch of the Executive Certificate Program in Financial Risk Management
The program concluded on a high note, marking the successful completion of an intensive 6-month learning journey on 11th January 2026. The program brought together 84 participants from across the country.
The Valedictory Address was delivered by Prof. M. Chandrasekhar, Director, IIMV who highlighted the importance of structured programs in providing a degree of control in today’s complex financial environment. He emphasized the need to balance agility with vigilance in risk management and spoke on the critical role of risk appetite, often linked to the first-mover advantage, supported by effective data crunching for both hindsight and foresight.
The program covered six comprehensive modules: Foundations of Risk Management & Financial Markets and Products; Quantitative Analytics Tools for Financial Decision-Making; Risk Management and Investment Management; Market Risk Measurement and Management; Interest Rate Risk and Credit Risk Measurement; and Operational Risk. It concluded with Capstone Project presentations, showcasing participants’ application of learning to real-world risk scenarios.
