The Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam (IIMV) inaugurated the second batch of its prestigious Online Executive Education Programme in Advanced Strategic Human Resource Management (ASHRM) today. The inaugural session marked the beginning of a 70-hour comprehensive learning journey designed to empower human resource professionals with strategic insights and cutting-edge digital tools.

The programme was formally inaugurated by Prof. Bishakha Majumdar, Programme Director and Assistant Professor in Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management at IIM Visakhapatnam. She was joined by Prof. Amit Baran Chakrabarti, co-Director of the programme and Associate Professor of Strategy at IIMV, who welcomed participants and emphasized the importance of aligning HR practices with overarching business strategies in an era shaped by Industry 4.0 and digital transformation.

Addressing a diverse cohort of working professionals from across the country, Prof. Majumdar highlighted the programme’s focus on integrating strategic HR practices with data-driven decision-making and modern HR analytics. “In today’s dynamic business environment, HR must move beyond support functions and take center stage in shaping organizational success. This programme is designed to bridge that gap,” she noted.

The ASHRM programme, delivered in collaboration with Uptop Careers and supported by the Executive Education Programme (EEP) Office at IIM Visakhapatnam, is tailored for mid- to senior-level HR professionals seeking to lead transformative people strategies in their organizations. The curriculum features modules on digital talent management, HR analytics, finance for HR managers, design thinking, and emerging trends like Green HRM and Sustainable HRM.

Sessions will be delivered online by IIMV’s accomplished faculty including Prof. Srinivas Josyula and Prof. Prince Doliya, with real-world case discussions, simulations, and interactive components aimed at ensuring applied learning outcomes.

The programme will culminate in September 2025 with project presentations and a valedictory session recognizing participant achievements.
