10-Year Celebrations of IIM Visakhapatnam

As part of the 10-Year Celebrations of IIM Visakhapatnam, we are pleased to invite your esteemed institution to nominate undergraduate/postgraduate student teams to participate in our Open Campus Day flagship event, titled “Idea to Impact Challenge – Pitch Your Ideas, Create Impact, and Experience IIM.” The event is scheduled to be held on 10 January 2026 at the IIM Visakhapatnam campus.

About the Idea to Impact Challenge
The Idea to Impact Challenge is designed to provide undergraduate/postgraduate students from all disciplines—Arts, Science, Commerce, Engineering, and others—an opportunity to engage in structured problem-solving, innovation, and MBA-style ideation and pitching. The competition emphasizes impact, feasibility, and execution, while offering participants first-hand exposure to the academic environment of a premier IIM.

Competition Structure
Stage 1: Proposed Idea - One page submission (online)
Last date: 5 January 2026
  • Problem Statement (up to 100 words)
  • Proposed Solution (up to 200 words)
  • Potential Impact (up to 100 words)
  • Shortlisted teams will be invited to the campus.
Stage 2: On-Campus Presentation Round 
Date: 10 January 2026
  • 7-minute presentation
  • 3-minute Q&A session

Event Day Experience (10 January 2026)
In addition to the pitch competition, shortlisted students will experience:
  • Faculty session on AI relevance in education and careers
  • Interaction with the EPIC (Entrepreneurship & Innovation) team
  • Campus tour and Mini-MBA classroom experience
  • Networking with IIMV faculty, students, and peers from other institutions
Application Submission & Registration Guidelines
We request your kind support in circulating this opportunity among your undergraduate/postgraduate students and encouraging suitable teams to participate. The registration and submission details are as follows:
  • A letter from the College Administration indicating the names of the students(Bonafide) and permission to participate or college/institute ID card is required tobe uploaded at the time of application.
  • Registration is also open for individual student who wish to visit the campus without participating in the competition.

  • There is no limit on the number of teams/students from an institute; however,registrations will close after the first 100 registrations, for the challenge.
  • Only top 8 shortlisted teams will be called for competition.
  • Registration will remain open till 5 January 2026 (EOD).
This initiative aims to foster innovation, leadership thinking, and inter-college academic engagement, while allowing students to experience life at a premier B-school.
