With a view to enhancing the employability of graduates of the PGPMCI program, exiting after Module-1 with the Diploma in Business Management (DBM) or after completing Module-2 and obtaining the MBA degree, IIM Vishakhapatnam will engage an external, professional agency (hereinafter referred to as Career Guidance and Support Agency – CGSA), at its own cost, the nature and extent of which will draw upon the prior experience of the Institute in such matters.

Towards implementing this initiative, students of DBM and students of MBA will elect a committee from among themselves (called as Career Progression Assistance Committee or CPAC-DBM or CPAC-MBA), not exceeding 10% of the class strength. Such elected student Committee will identify from among themselves, a Primary Point of Contact (PPoC) and a Secondary Point of Contact (SPoC). The PPoC and the SPoC will be the only authorized personnel who will –

-     Coordinate with CPAC on the one hand who in turn will coordinate with their respective batchmates
-     Coordinate with the CGSA on the other.

The services which will be extended by the CGSA are as follows:

(This should be drawn up in consultation with the CGSA and broadly with the students).

It is made clear that the roles of IIMV, CPAC or CGSA are only to guide, facilitate and/or enhance capacities of the students and not guarantee any placements of any kind to the students.
