Inauguration of 5-day In-Service Training Program on ‘Digital Governance & Management’ for DoPT-nominated officials
IIM Visakhapatnam is organizing a one-week In-Service Training Programme, from March 6-10, 2023, on ‘Digital Governance & Management’ for All India Service Officers (IAS, IPS & IFoS), officers working under the Central Staffing Scheme, Central Secretariat Service (CSS) and Central Secretariat Stenographer Service (CSSS) Officers.
The Programme is being held under the aegis of Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Government of India.
The training was inaugurated today by Shri Ajay Prakash Sawhney, IAS (R), former Secretary, MeitY. While speaking highly of the independently developed projects which have gone on to have significant national footprint, he stressed on moving on to interoperable platform-based solutions. With well-designed APIs and good data security practices, these platforms will lower the entry barriers and allow competing entities to provide better price and quality discovery for end users. He commended the robust steps that India is taking towards this direction.
While reminiscing about a short-duration training program that he attended years back, Shri Sawhney stressed on the important role such trainings can play for careers of senior government functionaries.
