IIMV inaugurated the Executive Certificate Programme in Advanced Strategic Management
The Indian Institute of Management inaugurated the Executive Certificate Programme in Advanced Strategic Management on April 29, 2023. The one-year long programme will be conducted online with a campus immersion module towards the end. 45 executives from various industries have enrolled in the programme. They have an average work experience of 9.7 years.
The programme was designed by the faculty of IIM Visakhapatnam to enable experienced professionals to understand the theory behind strategy implementation. It will also incorporate latest developments in the strategy area throughout the course. The course uses a mix of theory, case studies, and simulations to deliver the content. Several important topics like strategic resilience, internal business, and digital disruption and innovation will be covered in the modules.
Prof. Karthika S, Program Director welcomed the participants and shared a presentation on the programme participant profile. She also shared a brief overview of the course modules.
The chief guest for the inaugural event was Prof. M Chandrasekhar, Director of IIM Visakhapatnam. He congratulated the participants for enrolling on the programme. He also provided some practical advice on how to improve their strategy implementation skills. He emphasised the need for business ethics in all facets of strategic management.
Prof. Deepika Gupta, Programme Co-Director, expressed gratitude to the participants and thanked all the members who supported the programme thus far.
