IIMV Launches Five Month Online “Executive Certificate Program in Financial Risk Management
IIM Visakhapatnam has launched a five-month online "Executive Certificate Program in Financial Risk Management." It is a specialized course that focuses on identifying, analysing, and mitigating risks associated with financial activities in various organizations. The primary objective of this course is to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills to effectively manage financial risks and make informed decisions to protect the financial health and stability of a business.
The program embarked its journey with 61 participants from various domains of the financial industry. Welcoming the participants, Prof. Shalini Agnihotri, the Program Director, gave an overview of the program and discussed about the evolution of newer types of risks which require constant upgradation of skills. She stressed upon the importance of risk quantification and management. After that Prof. MV Anuradha Dean IIM Visakhapatnam addressed the participants and shared the key highlights about IIMV.
The Chief Guest for the event was Shri S.S. Mallikarjuna Rao, an Independent Director on the boards of Axis bank and IFTAS and the former MD and CEO of Punjab National Bank. He emphasised about the various unexpected and unforeseen risks faced by financial institutions and how to prepare for uncertainties.
Prof. Kaveri Krishnan, the Program Co-Director, thanked the Chief Guest and the participants of the program, highlighting the importance of mutual and interactive learning in the program. She also expressed her gratitude to Prof. M Chandrashekhar, Director of IIMV, for encouraging them to ideate this program.
