Capacity building programme for Hindustan Shipyard Limited Senior Management Officers
A three-day capacity building programme for Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) senior management officers was inaugurated at IIM Visakhapatnam. The objective of this program is to develop critical leadership skills and advance strategic adaptability and the innovative mindsets needed to navigate complex changes in the organization.
Addressing the inaugural gathering, Chief Guest Cmde. KE Mathew (Retd), Director (Shipbuilding), Hindustan Shipyard Limited spoke about the importance of continuous learning even being a working professional. He emphasized that learning should not be limited to classrooms only. Sharing his personal anecdotes he advised that decision-making whether right or wrong should be done with courage and determination. The decision-maker should stand by these decisions that act as key virtues to the continuous attainment of targets. He urged the participants to sincerely focus on the treasure of learning and grab the best out of this three-day program such that they can inculcate more ethics in their professional work and organizational environment.
Welcoming the officials at the MDP inauguration, Prof. M Chandrashekhar, Director IIMV, stressed on the prominence of the usefulness of engaging interactions and shared learning of real-life experience and knowledge with working officials during the programme helps the faculty members as well Referring to Augustine's Law, he added that the process of achieving premier productivity along with sustainability management with effective teamwork and a timely decision-making can be prolific in the growth of an organization.
At last Prof. Deepika Gupta (Program Director) expressed her gratitude for the dignitaries. Prof. Preeti Virdi, Chairperson, Executive Education Programs hosted the session.
