Capacity building program on Communication
Skills
4 OCTOBER
IIMV conducted a 5-day capacity building program on
Communication Skills between 4 and 8 October, for UG and
PG students. 57 participants from different parts of the
country attended this online program.Prof. Chandreie M
and Prof. Sunitha T, the Program Directors, conducted
sessions on topics like Public Speaking, Presentation Skills,
Professional Writing, and Interviews.
FDP on Advanced Multivariate Data
Analytics
18 OCTOBER
IIM V conducted a 5-day intensive online FDP on
Advanced Multivariate Data Analytics:
Moderation and Mediation Analysis using AMOS
& Process Macro. The objective of this online
program was to provide an exhaustive
understanding of SEM and its function in varied
Domains, Moderation Analysis & Mediation.
Addressing the 85 participants who were present
during the inaugural, Prof. M Chandrasekhar, Director, IIM V, emphasized the importance of using data
analytics as a tool for research. Prof. Amit Shankar, Faculty from IIM V (Marketing area) was the Program
Director.
MDP on Working with Change Resistance for IOCL o cers
25 OCTOBER
As the Knowledge Partner of the Indian Oil Institute of Petroleum Management (IiPM), IIMV conducted a
three-day Management Development Programme on ‘Working with Change Resistance’ for Indian Oil
Corporation Limited. Ms. Urvija Bajpai, Executive Director, and Head IiPM, delivered the inaugural address
and spoke about the need for customized programs during pandemic times and the importance of
creating awareness for leaders on managing resistance towards changes in the organization. In his
welcome address, Prof. M. Chandrasekhar, Director IIMV, emphasized the Institute’s growing collaborative
initiatives with IOCL and IiPM.
This three-day program, conducted virtually, provided training on various topics which include: revamping
leadership techniques and exercising influencing skills during change, corporate communication,
interpersonal skills, design thinking, conflict resolution, and team management. 21 Grade E, F and G
officers of IOCL participated in this training program.
