The National Symposium seeks to invite papers from Faculty, research scholars, independent researchers, students, and other interested professionals in the following areas where application of Machine Learning and Data Science shows remarkable results:

• Health Care: The data analytics, AI and optimization-based solutions bringing efficiency and effectiveness with high-quality and quick- response service-delivery system.
• Computational Public Policy: Application of computer science and mathematics to solving problems in public policy related to decision making, analysis, modelling, optimization, forecasting, and simulation.
• Natural Resource Management: A cross-disciplinary data analytics, AI and optimization-based solutions to address the grand challenges of water, food, and energy security for increasing population as a grand challenge.

Select papers from the symposium will be published after peer review in proceedings.

About IIMV
Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam (IIMV) belongs to the prestigious IIM family of business schools. It is a new generation IIM, set up by the Government of India in September 2015. The Institute is in its temporary, but state-of-the-art facility in the salubrious Andhra University campus in the ‘City of Destiny’, Visakhapatnam. The Institute is progressing well in the construction of its word-class campus on approx. 241 acres of land about 25 kilo meters from the present (temporary) campus. The permanent campus is expected to be fully operational in 2022.

This Lab is dedicated to academic research, industrial/Govt. consultancy, product development and training to support inter-disciplinary research using the innovations of artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, cloud computing, graph analytics, game theory, cyber-physical systems, pervasive computing etc. while keeping Mathematical Optimization and Data Science as the core in the approach of solving the inter-disciplinary problems faced by India and other emerging economies.
