IIM Visakhapatnam launches a one-year Executive Post Graduate Certificate Program in General Management

The Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam has inaugurated the Executive Post Graduate Certificate Program in General Management. The one-year long program will be conducted online via Jaro Education’s platform. 138 working executives from various industries have enrolled in the program.

The EPGCPGM program is designed to shape participant’s pertinent outlook and knowledge towards organizations and their own role in creating strong, successful organizations. Over the course of the program, participants will engage in a range of learning activities, including case studies, group discussions, interactive workshops, and experiential exercises. They will learn from experienced faculty members and have the opportunity to network and collaborate with a diverse group of peers from a variety of industries and backgrounds. The program will provide the skills and insights necessary to succeed in today's complex business landscape.

The program directors, Prof. Prince Doliya and Prof. Preeti Virdi welcomed the participants and shared a brief overview of the course modules and the batch details.

The inauguration was graced by chief guest, Mr. Sameer Chaudhary, Director and Head Retail, L&T Electrical & Automation (Schneider Electric India Pvt. Ltd.). Mr. Chaudhary in his insightful words to the learners said that executive education provides executives a chance to enhance their careers and change perspectives on ways to lead corporate life. Mr. Chaudhary gave learners a four-item checklist for growth. He stated that learners should inculcate in themselves the ability to take challenges, focus and hone their strengths rather than looking on their weaknesses, seek guidance from mentors in the industry and beyond and find their purpose.

On the occasion, Prof. M Chandrasekhar, Director, IIM Visakhapatnam, emphasized on thinking beyond providing economic value and develop business which that provide social value. Prof. Chandrasekhar motivated learners to have bigger and better goal posts in life and career to ensure continuous growth. Prof. Chandrasekhar congratulated the participants on embarking an interesting journey of learning.
