IMPORTANT EVENTS
The keynote address was delivered by Shri
Abhishek Singh, President & CEO, NeGD, MeitY,
GoI, who highlighted the relevance of the
PGP-DGM program in strengthening the ‘people’
pillar (of the four pillars - people, process, technolo-
gy, and resources) which have the potential to help
India take the digital leap. He underlined the role
this program would play in developing India-based
case studies of digital governance. Prof. M Chan-
drasekhar, Director, IIM Visakhapatnam, and Prof.
Neena Pandey, Chair, PGP-DGM, also addressed
the audience.
The virtual event was attended by some of the board members, participants from the 1st and 2nd batch-
es of the PGP-DGM program, and several other dignitaries from academia, practice and government.
The PGP-DGM program, launched under the aegis of the National e-Governance Division (NeGD), Ministry
of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Govt. of India (GoI), is a one-of-its kind unique program
designed to provide customized training in digital governance to experienced professionals and catalyse
the footprint and impact of Digital India.

IIM V welcomed its 7th batch of the flagship Master
of Business Administration (MBA) program and the
3rd batch of the prestigious Ph.D. program on 29
June 2021. Shri S K Bose, Executive Director (HR)
Corporate Office, Indian Oil Corp Limited, addressed
the incoming batches as the Chief Guest for the
virtual inauguration. Shri Bose emphasized the
importance of being resilient and continuing learning
in the ‘New Normal’, drawing examples from the
heroic service of IOCL to the nation during the pan-
demic. Prof. Chandrasekhar M, Director, IIM V, wel-
comed the students to the Institution and wished
them fulfilment for the journey ahead.
A total of 196 students enrolled in the MBA program and 9 scholars in the Ph.D. program (offered across
six areas). The inauguration flagged off a week-long orientation program for the incoming batches which
involve preparatory sessions and induction activities.
