      STARTUP SUCCESS STORIES


      School Radio

       School Radio, incubated at IIMV-FIELD, IIM Visakhapatnam&N-
       SRCEL, IIM Bengaluru, is a platform initiated (by Digital School,
       a Social Enterprise, registered as a partnership firm) on World
       Radio Day 13 Feb,2015 to encourage children and youth to

       create their own content in any language, medium and on any
       topic of their choice and encourages them towards finding
       solutions. So far it has reached out to 50 Schools, Colleges and
       Universities directly in four states: Andhra Pradesh, Telangana,

       Maharashtra and UP. 5 to 19-year-oldscreate their own con-
       tent and broadcast it on School Radio – all of them being first
       time broadcasters.Through the School Radio production
       process, they learn creativity, critical thinkingand problem-solv-

       ing skills in addition to knowing the nuances of communication
       and collaboration. Moreover, they become responsible,confi-
       dent, and nurture their leadership skills such as decision
       making and self-reflection. They do not just work as individu-

       als but also as teamswhile they create content on School Radio - a process which is unique and innova-
       tive. While Radio channels remained passive, information dissemination and entertainment toolswith less
       scope for participation, School Radio is creating a unique opportunity for children to become active

       participants and lead the School Radio Station programmes. We have trained 4,700 children and youth

       so far.During COVID19we made the transition to being completely online and generated content from 20
       states from India, and 7 foreign countries including China, USA, UK, Canada, Bangladesh, Oman and
       Antigua and broadcasted stories in seven languages. Some of our broadcasts include SDG changemak-
       ers, Young changemakers, Storytellers narrating stories from different walks of life, Journalist Diary,

       Special Day Events and Eco-Stories.


       Hapup

       Hapup, one of our Startups from the Women Startup Program
       2020-2021, makes 100% natural, easy to make tasty porridge
       mixes and ready to eat- millet based healthy snacks, free of any

       preservatives. Their products are made with love and super-
       foods like millets (ragi, jowar, bajra), pulses, nuts and seeds.
       Their super customizable Nutri Mixes can be used to make

       porridge, dosas, muffins and even smoothies. Also, their millet
       based snacking range consists of delicious Jowar Chips,
       Multi-millet Khakharas made with superfoods like moringa,
       flaxseeds and sesame seeds, Amaranth and Nutty Energy Bars
