Prof. Aalok Kumar from the Production & Operations Management area, IIMV, received
a grant of £9000 from SAMS (the Society for the Advancement of Management Studies)
in the United Kingdom. His project is based on ‘methods and models for developing
sustainable, resilient, and digital business’ research in developing nations. The Society
for the Advancement of Management Studies (SAMS) is a charity established in 1963 by
Professor Grigor McClelland to provide a governance structure for the Journal of Man-
agement Studies (a FT 50 journal). Its chief objective is to develop and strengthen the
management community in the world.

Prof. Bishakha Majumdar was a resource person in the
5-day Online Faculty DevelopmentProgram on ‘Organiza-
tional Behaviour’ funded by AICTE Training and Learning
(ATAL)Academybetween and 12 and 16 July and National
Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research
(NIPER) Hyderabad. She delivered two virtual sessions,
one on Learning in Organizations and the other on Conflict
Resolution. During these sessions she discussed various tools and techniques used for knowledge management
and resolving conflicts in interpersonal and professional contexts. The programme was attended by faculty
members from technical institutions of eminence across India.
Prof. Bishakha Majumdar was also the Session chair for the HR track in the GEARS Symposium, a doctoral sym-
posium organized by GITAM Deemed to be University, Visakhapatnam
