18 APRIL, VISAKHAPATNAM: IIM Visakhapatnam, in association with Andhra Bank, organised its first Entrepreneurship Conclave, Exordia’16. In line with the theme, ‘India’s Boost to Entrepreneurship’, the conclave provided an impetus to boost the entrepreneurial spirit in the city.
Entrepreneurs from the city presented their ideas before experts from IIM Bangalore’s incubation centre – the N S Raghavan Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning (NSRCEL).
The event saw a panel of distinguished speakers, from industry, government and academia, offer valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities in entrepreneurship. The speakers included Suresh Bhagavatula, Chairperson, Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Development, NSRCEL at IIM Bangalore; Nagaraja Prakasam, Founder-Chairman, Native Angels Network; Shiv Kumar, CEO, Maple Software; Malini Gowrishankar, Founder, F5 Escapes; Sumita Dawra, Principal Secretary, Higher Education, State of Andhra Pradesh, Vijayalakshmi, DGM, Andhra Bank and Amit Garg, Commissioner of Police.
The conclave was attended by University and College students and budding entrepreneurs from across the city.
