The Indian Institute of Management
Visakhapatnam (IIMV) proudly inaugurated
the Post-Graduate Program in Management
for Centrally Funded Technical Institutions/

Institutes of National Importance (PGPMCI)
on March 14th, 2024. The inaugural batch
comprises eighty-six brilliant minds from
esteemed CFTIs/INIs in the AP/TS region,
including NIT Warangal, NIT Andhra Pradesh,
IIITDM Kurnool, IIPE Visakhapatnam, and
Mahatma Gandhi National Fellows from nine
IIMs. Prof. M Shameem Jawed, Chairperson

of PGPMCI, welcomed the chief guest Shri
L V Subramanyam, IAS (Retd.), dignitaries,
and the pioneering cohort. He highlighted
the program’s structure aligned with the
New Education Policy (NEP) guidelines. The
program goal is to provide a valuable dual

degree— Diploma in Business Management
(DBM) in the first year and MBA in the second,
empowering students with specialized management skills. Prof. Shameem introduced the diverse 2024-25
batch, reflecting a balanced mix and a significant female representation. Prof. M. Chandrasekhar, Director of
IIMV, congratulated the batch and thanked partnering institutions for their collaborative efforts.
