Executive Certificate Program in Operations Management

IIM Visakhapatnam launched the Executive
Certificate Program in Operations Management

for senior-level managers of M/s Himadri Specialty
Chemicals Ltd. The 110-hour course focuses
on real-life challenges in operations planning
and execution, imparting essential knowledge
through hands-on case studies and scenarios.
The program aims to enable participants to
understand operations management principles, plan for quality, and improve goods and services. Prof. M

Chandrasekhar, Director IIMV, congratulated the 15 participants who have enrolled for this program for
focusing on ‘Cost optimization and quality maximization. In his inaugural address, Prof. S G Deshmukh
highlighted opportunities in supply chain efficiency. The program is being led by Prof. Aalok Kumar and Prof.
PRS Sarma.

5-day In-Service Training Program on Digital Governance & Management

A 5-day In-Service Training Program on Digital Governance and Management, sponsored by the Department
of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Government of India, was held at IIMV’s city campus from 12 February

to 16 February. Twenty senior civil servants from various Government of India Ministries/Departments
and states participated, including All-India Service officers, Officers from the Central Staffing Scheme,
Central Secretariat Service, and Central Secretariat Stenographer Service. Shri J Satyanarayana IAS (R),
former Secretary of MeitY & Chairman of UIDAI, graced the inaugural event as the chief guest, and shared
invaluable insights on the ‘Essence of Digital Transformation’ and offered practical guidance on navigating

the complexities of digital governance effectively.
The program was led by Prof. Bhavya PS, and Prof. Abhishek Srivastava.
