CVC-supported Program on Public Procurement

IIM Visakhapatnam successfully conducted a 3-day
Central Vigilance Commission (CVC)-supported
program on Public Procurement, aimed at enhancing
officials’ efficiency in procurement processes. The
program commenced with the 6th batch on Public
Procurement (Goods, Services & Consultancy)

from 8th to 10th February 2024, attended by 30
officers. The curriculum covered aspects such as
procurement of goods, services, and consultancy,
overseas procurement, dispute resolution,
preparation of tender documents, and maintaining
code of integrity. The 7th batch focusing on Public
Procurement (Works & Consultancy) followed from

22nd to 24th February 2024, with 31 participants,
delving into procurement of works, contract
management, procurement of consulting services,
and other related topics. This was succeeded
by the 8th batch on Public Procurement (Works
& Consultancy) from 14th to 16th March 2024,

consisting of 33 officers, covering similar aspects
as the previous batch. The 9th batch on Public
Procurement (Goods, Services & Consultancy) from
25th to 27th April 2024, with 39 officers attending,
focused on goods, services, overseas procurement,
dispute resolution, tender document preparation,
and maintaining code of integrity. In total, four
batches of the Public Procurement program were

conducted in the last quarter, covering various
procurement aspects for participants from different
sectors across the country.
