Workshop on Contract Management and Dispute Resolution with the technical
support of the World Bank

The Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam successfully concluded a Workshop on ‘Contract
Management and Dispute Resolution’ with technical support from the World Bank. Twenty-three officers
from prestigious organizations in both the public and private sectors participated in the program. During the
valedictory session, Shri. Ajit Kumar Mishra, General Manager of the Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation
of India, delivered an insightful session on FIDIC contracts, providing attendees with a deeper understanding

of major clauses and provisions.
Prof. S. Chatterjee, Senior Consultant at IIM Visakhapatnam, summarized the program’s key takeaways.
Prof. M Chandrasekhar, Director IIMV, thanked the World Bank for their support and expressed gratitude
to the participants and nominating organizations. Led by Adv. Shri Ashutosh Mishra, Advisor at IIMV
Visakhapatnam & Program Director, the three-day workshop conducted between 21 and 23 March covered
essential aspects of contract management and dispute resolution, including topics like Legal Aspects of

Contract Management, Arbitration, and FIDIC contracts.
