to drive positive change and achieve sustainable success in their organisations”. Prof. Bishakha Majumdar,
Assistant Professor, OB& HR at IIM Visakhapatnam and one of the Program Directors said, “In today’s
fast-paced business environment, effective leadership is more critical than ever, and this program equips
participants with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to lead with impact.”

Inauguration of the executive program in Business Management

IIM Visakhapatnam virtually inaugurated the Executive Program in Business Management with 88 participants
from diverse backgrounds. Prof. Sushil Kumar, as the Program Director, highlighted the program’s structure
across key pillars like Business Management, Leadership, Marketing Strategy, and Analytics. Dr. Subhransu

Sekhar Acharya, Chief General Manager at SIDBI, emphasized the importance of strategic thinking and
innovation in achieving financial success. Prof. Chandrasekhar, the Director of IIMV, welcomed participants,
lauded program directors’ contributions, and highlighted IIMV’s success in incubating startups, especially

those led by women with a social impact focus. Prof. Amit Shankar, is the Program Co-director for this
program.

Leadership Development Program for officers of Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd.

The Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam recently conducted a 5-day Leadership Development
Program for 28 officers from Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd. Prof. Anuradha M V, the Program Director, welcomed
participants and outlined the training schedule and expected outcomes. Prof. Chandrasekhar M, Director
of IIM Visakhapatnam, expressed gratitude to MCL’s leadership for their trust and highlighted MCL’s role in
national progress. Shri Saurabh Prasad, Divisional Railway Manager of Waltair Division Visakhapatnam,
stressed leadership’s importance and fundamental strategies for organizational success. The program
concluded on May 3rd, with Shri S C Pandey, Director (Personnel) of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Visakhapatnam,
as the chief guest, highlighting the need for visionary leadership and nurturing talent for collective success.
Prof. Bishakha Majumdar and Prof. M V Anuradha expressed gratitude to the guests and participants for their
involvement and engagement.
