ONLINE EXECUTIVE EDUCATION PROGRAMME IN STRATEGIC HUMAN
RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

The Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam, in partnership with Nulearn, launched the 3rd batch of

the online Executive Education Programme in Strategic Human Resource Management (SHRM) on October
14, 2023. Addressing the inaugural gathering, Dr. Shahazadi Shaik, Head of Talent Management at Brandix
India, spoke about the strategic importance of HRM. Building the context with best practices from her industry,
Dr. Shaik emphasized the importance of HR professionals staying updated with digital transformations
and contributing to the strategic planning of the organization. Prof. Shivshanker Singh Patel, Coordinator
(Academics & Research), and Prof. Bishakha Majumdar, Program Director, also addressed the audience.

The objective of the SHRM program is to develop a comprehensive
understanding of recent developments in people management in
organizations and an appreciation of human resource management
from a strategic perspective, along with various tools and techniques
of HR Analytics. The five-month-long program, led by Prof. Bishakha
Majumdar and Prof. Balaji Subramanian, faculty at IIM Visakhapatnam,
will cover modules such as Strategic HRM, Employee Engagement,

Design Thinking in HRM, HR Analytics, Compensation Management,
and Finance for HR. The program will involve live, online weekend
classes, interactive class exercises, and group projects.

EXECUTIVE CERTIFICATE PROGRAM IN FINANCIAL RISK MANAGEMENT

IIMV has launched a five-month online “Executive Certificate Program in Financial Risk Management.” It is

a specialized course that focuses on identifying, analyzing, and mitigating risks associated with financial
activities in various organizations. The program embarked on its journey with 61 participants from various
domains of the financial industry.
