OTHER FACULTY ACHIEVEMENTS

Prof. Amit Shankar, Assistant Professor, Marketing area at IIMV has been

featured in the list of world’s top 2% researchers published by Stanford
University (2023). The list includes about 200,000+ scientists from all over
the world in 22 scientific fields and 176 subfields.

Maternal mortality dashboard/decision
support system
presented a paper titled, “Impact of Data Prof. Shivshanker Singh Patel, Head, Inter-disciplinary Decision Sciences

& Analytics Lab (IDEAL), and his team of researchers at IIMV developed
a maternal mortality dashboard/decision support system (DSS). They

leveraged the sophisticated hut explainable machine learning models
on NFHS (National Family Health Survey 4 and NFHS5 and the Union
government’s health management information system (HMIS) data to build
the dashboard. A pathbreaking step towards precision policy intervention

for better maternal health.
