Farewell meet for the batch of PGPEx (19-21)
19 JULY
A virtual Farewell meet was hosted by the current batch of
PGPEx participants(20-22) for the outgoing batch of PGPEx
participants (19-21). Though the participants could not be
physically present they ensured to leave no stone unturned
in making the farewellexciting, fun and memorable for the
outgoing batch.
Freshers party for the batch of PGPEx (20-22)
27 JULY
The first batch of PGPEx (19-21) participants cele-
brated a Virtual Freshers party with utmost joy and
energy. It was enthralled by a welcome speech andfol-
lowed by an introduction of thePGPEx (20-22) partici-
pants (who were adoringly referred to as ‘Juniors’)with
Rhyming adjectives. Activities such as responding
to‘seniors’’funky questions, brainteasers, conducting
polling for the inherent talent search for juniors in different categories and then declaring the best in each
of the identified category, fun games etc., were planned; and finally concluded with a vote of thanks.
Mementos, Customizedt-shirts with IIMV logo, and large greeting cards with wishes, ideas, and tips of
wisdom printed on them were delivered to the ‘Juniors’’ doorstep.
Independence Day celebrations
Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam cele-
brated the 75th Independence Day of India with high
spirits at the lush green transit campus inside Andhra
University on Sunday. After the flag hoisting and the
National Anthem, Director Prof. M. Chandrasekhar
addressed the gathering and spoke about how India is
progressing in the right direction in achieving a five
trillion-dollar economy by 2024. He also spoke about
India's advancement towards 'Aatma Nirbhar Bharat'
and the advantage that India has in terms of the
demographic dividend.
