Twenty-six interviews from Indian non-users of online grocery have been analysed. With the help of the thematic
analysis, the article uncovers the factors affecting the use of traditional and virtual reality online grocery stores. This
study is the first attempt to compare 2D and 3D online grocery stores and, thereby, adds to the literature on online
grocery shopping in the Indian context. It also provides a sense of the critical factors they need to take care of while
trying to implement virtual reality online grocery stores. Click here for paper.

Ms. Praveena Musunuru, PhD (2019 batch, Finance and
Accounting area) published the following paper along with
Prof. Mohammad Shameem Jawed.
COVID-19, Stock Liquidity, and Abnormal Returns
This paper examines the relationship between ex-ante stock liquidity and abnormal
returns during various phases of COVID-19 led market uncertainties in India. We
find that the volume-based liquidity supports stock more significantly during the
crisis than in periods of calm. However, contrary to existing empirical evidence,
price-based liquidity penalizes stocks during a crisis. Moreover, during periods of
calm and recovery, the inverse relationship of liquidity-abnormal return reverses.
Further analysis shows that this change of price-based liquidity to abnormal return
relationship is more prominent in firms with higher ex-ante liquidity. In contrast,
highly illiquid firms appear immune.
