PROGRAMME INAUGURATIONS

Addressing the students, Prof. B. Srirangacharyulu, Chairperson (PhD) gave an overview of the PhD program.
He expressed that with 7 intakes this year in PhD program the institute is gradually creating high-quality

future academicians who will play an important role in uplifting the standard of learning. He added that
IIMV’s doctoral program supports students with a fulsome stipend and conference grants while pursuing
high-quality research during the course period. He expressed good wishes to the students on their next
journey as researchers at IIMV.
Prof. Anuradha, Dean (Administration), also extended a warm welcome to the students and spoke about the
ethics that students should inculcate in themselves to excel in futuristic accomplishment. She noted three

key parameters that can improve the quality of a student; she emphasized on perseverance, discipline, and
ability to discriminate between the right and wrong choices. She added that the choices should be made
responsibly, as right choices of today will bring better opportunities to lead a prosperous future.

Prof. Chandrasekhar M, the Director, IIM Visakhapatnam, congratulated the students for getting admission to
the institution after clearing the rigorous 3-phase of the admission process and wished them a fulfilled journey
ahead. In his address, he quoted Bertrand Russell “No man can be a good teacher unless he has feelings of
warm affection toward his pupils and a genuine desire to impart to them what he believes to be of value”. He
shared with the students that the faculty members and administration of the institute will be available throughout
their academic journey to foster and enhance them with the skills like leadership, teamwork, decision-making,
and interpersonal to make them an outstanding learner. Speaking on occasion, he talked about the institute’s

accomplishments and progress in the recent past such as institute’s 29th rank in NIRF.
During this inauguration ceremony, the Merit Certificate and Director’s Merit List (DML) awardees for PGP &
PGPEx were also announced by Prof. PRS Sarma, Chairperson (PGP), and Prof. Saroj Kumar Pani, Chairperson
(PGPEx) respectively. The merit certificate holders of Term-1, 2, and 3 included Akash Jain, Dushyant

Gupta, Amitoz Kumar, Nitin Mohanty, and Arzoo Goyal while the DML included Guna Avinash, Ardra S. Joy,
Stuti Sanghi, Priyanuj Sarmah, K.S. Madhukar. The Merit Certificate Awardees & DML Awardees (PGPEx)
included Satya Apparao Galla, Karthik Turibilli, and Abhimanyu Vaddadhi. Prof. Milan Kumar, Chairperson
(Admissions) gave the vote of thanks and expressed gratitude towards the phenomenal leadership of the
Director, Admissions committee, Faculty members, IT team, and other support staff.
