STUDENT ACTIVITIES, ACHIEVEMENTS AND AWARDS
A district-wide survey was administered to 714 participants (of which 94% of
respondents were 15-25 years old) to determine youth’s aspirations and areas of
interests. More than 50% of respondents chose ‘Government jobs (Civil services, BPSC,
SSC, CDS, Banking, etc.)’ out of more than 15 options (wages and self-employment).
Since government job postings are declining, students needed to be informed of other
work alternatives early on.
This inspired ‘Career Varta’ to assist students determine their skills and limitations
and choose careers accordingly. It involves offering career guidance and mentorship.
The first Career Varta was held on August 2, 2022 at the Sub-Regional Employment

‘Career Varta’ chose their careers.Prof. Anupama Sharma introduced me to the MBTI Test during
Academic Module 2 of “Managing Human Behavior in Organizations”. Sharing my
Academic Module learnings at the grassroots level was truly rewarding.
Prizes won
Global Peter Drucker Challenge 2022 - 1st place
Ms. Kaki Lihitha (MGNF fellow, Leparada District, Arunachal Pradesh)
bagged the first place (amongst the participants across the world) in the
Global Peter Drucker Challenge 2022 and, as the winner, will be taking
an all-expenses paid trip to Vienna in November to attend the annual
conference and collect a cash prize of €2,000 (EUR).
The Peter Drucker Challenge is an international essay competition held
annually by the Drucker Society Europe, in conjunction with the Drucker
Forum- for students and young entrepreneurs from all over the world. The
challenge explores a current topic in management- related to the theme of
the forum in the context of Peter Drucker’s human-oriented management
philosophy.
The Challenge is a personal essay contest; although narratives are often related to the topic in an analytical
way, but the research and evidence support the claims. The topic for the PDC 2022 was ‘Towards A Passion
Economy- creating value with your skills’. Her essay can be read here.
