Why are these two years no less than magic for me?

Personally, prior to my MBA, I was almost clueless about my aspirations in life. On the contrary, I
am now making progress in my career in a field that I like.

B-School rigour makes you realise that time flies-but you are the pilot! (Cheers to every 23:59:59
deadline, and a new word ‘sacrosanct’ that got added to our dictionary.)

I learnt that effective communication is immensely powerful. By effective, I mean honest, to-the-
point, and accurate.

Always find ways to take ‘gyaan’ from industry experts, professors, or your mentors. This is how
I made my summer internship a success.

A B-school is not all about what you learn in classes or placements. It is always about the contacts
and relationships you build. It is only because of the type of work I did and the people I worked
with that helped me not give in to my personal shortcomings.

IIM Vizag is known as # TheSunriseIIM. A few of us took this way too seriously by witnessing
almost every sunrise during our last few months at IIMV. After all, every sunrise gives you a new
beginning and a new ending.

Students speak

I joined MBA after a crashed dream of joining the Indian Air Force and working at

Infosys for 30 months. While at Infosys, I realised that my role in the future is to
be a business leader with a greater decision-making role, liberty, and autonomy
to make a significant contribution to the business disciplines, and hence my
decision to take up an MBA from IIM Visakhapatnam was a well-thought one.

Seniors and MBA graduates with whom I interacted had warned me that MBA
is one of the most hectic courses, but as I was used to being a “good student”, I
thought how different it could be from my academic life so far. Oh, my! I was in
Sonal Pawar for a surprise.

PGP 2021-2023
My first year ended after 17 subjects, numerous presentations, analysing countless case studies, innumerable
submissions, umpteen late-night calls, and sleepless nights. These nine months of an online MBA were

nothing short of a roller coaster ride. I struggled with managing my time, working with people having very
different work styles, and the overwhelming amount of work,
