EXECUTIVE EDUCATION PROGRAMS
The 5-day residential program, led by Professors Bishakha
Majumdar and Balaji Subramanian, covers various topics such
as Strategic Leadership, Marketing for Public Sector
Enterprises, Design Thinking, Digital Transformation, and
Change Management. The program is being attended by 40
senior leaders from Central and State Public Sector Enterprises
representing four Maharatnas, two Navratnas, and eleven
Miniratna enterprises, apart from other eminent public-sector
institutions.
Leadership Development Program for the O cers from IOCL
14 NOVEMBER
IIM Visakhapatnam launched Saksham, the 6-day online
Leadership Development Program for Indian Oil Corporation
Limited, on November 14, 2022. In the inaugural session, Shri
Rajiv Ranjan, CGM (L&D), Indian Institute of Petroleum
Management (IiPM), Gurugram, addressed the participants
on the importance of skill building in leadership and the
purpose of the IOCL leadership competency framework. Prof.
Amit Baran Chakrabarti, Program Director, also addressed
the participants.
The six-day Leadership Development Program, led by Professors Amit Baran Chakrabarti and Bishakha
Majumdar, covers various aspects of strategic leadership, marketing, change management, team building,
and innovation management. The program is being attended by mid-level officers from different divisions
of IOCL, such as International Business, Finance, Retail Sales, Planning and Coordination, and Human
Resource Management.
Foundation Course in General Management for E5-Level NTPC Executives,
2nd Batch

A six-day customized "Foundation Course in General Management" was conducted for E5 Level Executives
of NTPC at the IIMV campus from November 21st to 26th, 2022.
Shri Girish Chandra Choukse, Head of Project, NTPC-Simhadri, was the chief guest at the opening ceremony
on November 21. He talked about how organisations are always changing their internal operations and
activities to meet the needs of different stakeholders and to adapt to new trends and technologies.He also
stressed that the participants should make learning a habit for life so they could keep up with the
fast-paced, changing world.Now being run for the second batch of NTPC Executives, the objective of this
programme is to help NTPC officers improve their overall management skills, move the strategy forward,
and make it easier for them to adapt to the dynamic, changing environment. This 6-day training programme
concluded with a valedictory ceremony on November 26. Delivering the valedictory address, Prof.
Shivshanker Singh Patel, Coordinator (Academics & Research), IIMV, emphasised the relevance of such
training programmes and encouraged the participants to continue to upskill and reskill themselves to be
competitive in the changing business landscape. The participants provided feedback regarding the
programme during the valedictory and praised the interactive sharing of knowledge in the sessions and the
event's numerous networking opportunities.
