IIMV ties up with Hindustan Shipyard Limited

The Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam and Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) signed a
Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), for collaboration in training, consultancy, special talks, and place-
ments, at a special ceremony at the IIM Visakhapatnam campus. Commodore Hemant Khatri, Chairman
and Managing Director of HSL, and Dr. M Chandrasekhar, Director, IIM Visakhapatnam, signed the MoU
on behalf of their respective institutions. Commodore Hemant Khatri, in his address, emphasized the
transforming nature of public-sector organizations of India and the importance of continuous learning and
intrinsic motivation for the managers and workers of today. Dr. Chandrasekhar, in his speech, expressed
IIM Visakhapatnam’s commitment to developing training and consultancy offering specifically catering to
the needs of HSL and upholding its spirit of trust, quality, and competitiveness. Commodore JP Gupta,
Director, Corporate Planning and Personnel, HSL, Shri. SV Rambabu, Director, Finance and Commercial,
and Dr. MV Anuradha, Chair, Executive Education Programs, IIM Visakhapatnam, also addressed the
audience. The event was also attended by Dr. Rajendra Kumar and Dr. Somasundaram, dignitaries from
Hindustan Shipyard Limited, and faculty members from IIM.
