      Prof. Mohammad Shameem Jawed delivered a guest lecture on the topic ‘Funding Support for early stage of
      Entrepreneurs’ at Pragati Engineering College, AP, under the guidelines of Institutions Innovation Council,
      NISP, MoE on 27 September. Over 200 UG and PG students, faculty members from within and outside the host
      institution attended this lecture.

      He was also an invited member of the Expert Committee for – Promoting Entrepreneur-
      ship and Innovation among students pursuing Higher Education in Universities and
      Colleges of AP. The two-member expert committee drafted the modalities and guidelines
      for selection of Start-ups and innovations for award by APSCHE, AP

      Prof. Shameem also chaired the Financial Management track at the 2-day Virtual Inter-
      national Conference on ‘Innovative Practices in Commerce and Management during
      Pandemic Era (IPCM 2021)’, organized by School of Commerce and Management,
      Central University of Rajasthan, held between 25 and 26 November.

                                                   He was an invited expert speaker at the AICTE driven FDP on
                                                   Startup, Innovation & Entrepreneurship organized by AU. The talk
                                                   was on ‘Start-up Incubation – concept and ecosystem’ and elabo-
                                                   rated on a) basics of start-up incubation or e-cell, b) role of educa-
                                                   tional institutions in start-up ecosystem and c) Start-up Incubation:
                                                   Indian landscape, global context. Prof. Shameem was the keynote
                                                   speaker at India @75 Youth Ideathon – Delhi, organized by Man-
                                                   agement & Entrepreneurship and Professional Skills Council
                                                   (MEPSC), India, on 21 September.


      On 1 December, NITI Aayog VC, Shri Rajiv Kumar discussed with key stakeholders of academia and Start-up
      ecosystem about the key challenges and suggestions to improve through policy interventions Prof. Shameem was
      invited by APSCHE for this meeting to speak on challenges and suggestions for improving the Start-up ecosys-
      tem in the state and how NITI Aayog could contribute towards this goal.
