      IIM Visakhapatnam’s 10th Foundation Day

         17 JAN
      IIM Visakhapatnam (IIMV) celebrated its 10th Foundation Day on January 17, 2024, at its expansive 241-
      acre permanent campus, marking a decade of academic excellence since its establishment in 2015. The
      event  featured  Shri  Keshav  Rao,  Director  (Personnel)  of  Mahanadi  Coalfields  Ltd.,  as  Chief  Guest,  who

      highlighted IIMV’s pivotal role in producing industry-ready professionals. Prof. M. Chandrasekhar, Director of
      IIMV, announced the launch of an Executive PhD program and recognized student achievements, reaffirming
      the institute’s commitment to holistic education and leadership development.

      Speaking about IIMV, the Director mentioned how the institute has provided Executive education programs
      for blue-chip organizations such as NTPC, PowerGrid, HSL, and MCL, as well as the state governments
      of Assam and Andhra Pradesh. Because of its significant contributions, the Ministry of Social Justice and
      Development has selected the institution as one of the five IIMs offering training for the Indian Administrative
      Service (IAS). Additionally, NITI Aayog has selected it for the Atal Innovation Incubation, which focuses on

      entrepreneurship development. The institution is part of the International Association of Universities and has
      received certification as a “Great Place to Work.” The Director was also happy to announce the initiation of an
      Executive PhD program this year. The chief guest honoured PGP students for their merit-based achievements

      by awarding each of them a grant of Rs 6 akh. Students, faculty, and staff also received awards for their
      achievements in sports competitions. The Institute announced and unveiled the logo of the new sports event
      “Spardha” in the presence of Shri Keshav Rao.


      IIMV celebrated “National Voters’ Day”

         25 JAN
      To encourage more young voters to take part in the political process, the Government of India has decided to
      celebrate January 25 every year as National Voters’ Day. Since January 25, 2011, the Election Commission of
      India has celebrated this day as its foundation day. Voters’ pledge was administered in the Institute by Prof.
