      Industrial visit for PGPEx students
         16 APRIL

      Industrial visits complement classroom learning on industrial practices. With this motto, IIM
      Visakhapatnam facilitated a visit by a cross-section of participants of the PGPEx batch 2020-22 in the

      “Smart Business Logistics” course to the Gangavaram Port on 16 April 2022. This port (managed by the
      Adani Group) is fully automated, efficiently handling bulk cargo. Prof. Aalok Kumar (Course Instructor)
      and Prof. PRS Sarma from the Production & Operations Management Area of the Institute accompanied
      the students to provide onsite exposure to the students on smart and sustainable port operations.

      The participants received an understanding of port
      operations and the efficient turn-round during the visit, and

      discussed the nuances of real-time, smart, and sustainable
      port operations with the Senior Management Team. The
      Port Team also shared the growth potential for the port
      operations on the strength of adopting “smart” techniques
      while appreciating the interest and understanding of
      PGPEx participants about the domain.



      IIMV FOUNDATION FOR INCUBATION ENTREPRENEURIAL


      LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT(IIMV FIELD)





      TIDE 2.0
      IIMV FIELD, is a G3 Center in the Technology Incubation and Development of Entrepreneurs (TIDE 2.0)

      Program initiated by Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Govt of India. The support
      available to Start-ups selected under TIDE2.0 Program is in two schemes, namely:

                                                         Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EiR) Scheme: Up to INR 4
                                                         Lakhs per Start-up as grant for a year for validation and
                                                         development of their idea to have a Proof-of-Concept
                                                         (POC); along with incubation support.


                                                         Grant Scheme: Up to INR 7 Lakhs per Start-up as seed
                                                         fund for a year to develop a Minimum Viable Product
                                                         (MVP) from Proof of Concept (PoC); along with
                                                         incubation support.


       IIMVFIELD received a total of 72 applications for the second cohort of this program, and has selected four

       start-ups: Azper Science, Silizium Circuits, Progeny India, and Birthtech Innovations under EiR scheme
       and three start-ups: People of Prints, All about Architecture, andTechninieties under the Grant Scheme.

       Women start-ups have during their interaction with the chairman of IIMV FIELD, Mr. Prasad Dahapute.
