miss to notice every small to big efforts institute has made in curating it”. Mr. Kunal Ranjan, topper in first
year, also joined and admired the world class facilities and faculty members of the institute.
Faculty members and director expressed their happiness in having met with the alumni and students on
campus.
Workshop on ‘Gender Sensitivity at the workplace’
The Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) of IIMV organized a workshop on ‘Gender Sensitivity at the
Workplace’ on 28 March 2022. The speaker, Ms. Jaha Ara, Member, ICC IIMV, and Senior Advocate,
Visakhapatnam, spoke on the prevailing gender sensitivity issues and emphasized the need for gender
sensitization to create a safe work environment for women. She also talked about the modus operandi of
the ICC, the process of filing a complaint, and ways to build an inclusive organization.The mandatory
awareness program, conducted in Telugu, was attended by the ICC members, non-teaching staff
members, housekeeping staff, and members of the security services at the IIMV campus.
Exposure visit for MGNF students
21 MARCH
After completing the second Academic Module, the MGNF participants went on exposure visits to MSMEs
and Special Economic Zones in Visakhapatnam to explore their skill development programs and the
scope for collaboration with districts across Andhra Pradesh. At the Andhra Pradesh Medtech Zone
(AMTZ), the Fellows interacted with Mr. Naresh Kumar, Scientist D of the Skill Division, and Ms. Rimi
Thapa, Digital Business Consultant. They also had a campus tour and visited various hubs related to
medical equipment manufacturing, incubation centres and start-ups, artificial limb centre unit, and skill
consortium. The Fellows also visited the MSME Development institute and met Mr. Prasad Reddy, DGM,
and the program team.
