ONLINE MDPS AND FDPS

II. ONLINE FDP ON HANDLING PARTIAL LEAST SQUARES -STRUCTURAL EQUATION
       MODELING (PLS-SEM)

Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam conducted a 4-day Online Faculty
Development Programme on Handling Partial Least Squares - Structural Equation
Modeling (PLS-SEM), from 19 April to 22 April. SEM models are so general that they
encompass most of the statistical methods that are currently used in the social and
behavioral sciences. SEM allows a researcher to test complex models with multiple
pathways, model latent variables with multiple indicators, investigate mediation
and moderation in a systematic way and adjust for measurement error in predictor
       variables.

Prof. Amit Shankar was the Program Director for this Online FDP and this workshop, where 113 participants
actively took part, aimed to provide them a descriptive theoretical and practical knowledge to SEM, modera-
tion and mediation. smart PLS3 and R (plspm package) were used to learn all the statistical techniques,
which was the uniqueness of the workshop.
