CONVOCATION

IIM Visakhapatnam Director Prof. M. Chandrasekhar congratulated the outgoing student cohort and wished
them a bright and brilliant future. He highlighted some of the achievements and accomplishments of the
institute, with a special focus on programs, centres, events, and the entrepreneurship hub IIMV-FIELD,
placements, as well as the feats of the students and faculty. IIM-V has recently bagged 33rd place (all-India)
in the NIRF Rankings 2022 (Management Category), which were announced by the Ministry of Education,
Govt. of India. The Institute is ranked at the top among the new generation IIMs. Speaking about the
recognition, he stated that this is the first time the Institute has participated in the NIRF ranking procedure.

The convocation ceremony concluded on a high note – after Shri Hari S Bhartia declared the 6th Annual
Convocation closed.

Virtual Symposium on Applications of Machine Learning (ML) and Data Science

The Inter-Disciplinary Decision Sciences & Analytics Lab (IDeAL) of the Indian Institute of Management

Visakhapatnam (IIMV) concluded the two-day Virtual Symposium on Applications of Machine Learning (ML)
and Data Science in Inter-disciplinary areas on 30 May 2022. Distinguished academicians and scientists

delivered the keynote addresses at the two-day event. The Symposium served as a forum for academics

and researchers from IIM, IIIT, NIT, and Central Universities. It provided a venue for research professionals

to collaborate, exchange ideas, present papers, and discuss topics of mutual interest, such as healthcare,
computational public policy, and natural resource management.
