Management Immersion Program
The Management Immersion Program 3.0 at Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam was conducted on 27- 28 January 2026 to provide aspiring MBA candidates direct exposure to core management concepts, practical learning methods, and professional development skills.
Over two days, participants engaged in academic sessions, interactive workshops, hands-on case work, and campus experiences designed to broaden their understanding of management education and prepare them for future academic and career pursuits.
The cohort comprised 53 participants from 10+ states across India, reflecting strong geographic diversity and enriching peer learning. Inclusivity remained a key highlight, with 34% gender diversity, fostering balanced perspectives and meaningful discussions. Participants represented multidisciplinary backgrounds including Engineering and Technology (70%), Commerce and Management (18%), and Arts and Science (12%).
A key highlight was the Strategic and Contextual Business Understanding session on “Doing Business in Rural India,” and insights from senior faculty helped students understand real-world business frameworks beyond textbook theory. The Case Competition strengthened analytical thinking, collaboration, and presentation skills. Time management and test strategy were reinforced during the T.I.M.E session, strengthening participants’ preparation approaches.
Sessions on resume building, personal branding, LinkedIn optimisation, time management, and communication enhanced professional readiness and confidence. Campus tours and interactions with faculty, mentors, and students provided authentic exposure to academic culture.
MIP 3.0 successfully combined theory, application, and institutional experience, leaving participants with a clearer perspective on management education, improved professional readiness, and enhanced analytical and communication skills.
