Executive PhD Program (Exec-PhD)

Welcome to the sixth batch of the Doctoral Program in Management, leading to the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at the Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam (IIMV). At the outset, let me congratulate you for deciding on joining the PhD Program at IIMV.

IIMV started the PhD Program in the year 2019. IIMV offers PhD program in ten areas viz, Decision Sciences (DS), Economics & Social Sciences (ESS), Entrepreneurship, Finance & Accounting (F&A), Information Systems (IS), Management Communications (MC). Marketing, Organizational Behaviour and Human Resource Management (OB&HRM), Production & Operations Management (POM) and Public Policy (PP).

Our doctoral program has been carefully designed with a mix of core courses which will provide the basic concepts in various functional areas of Management, and doctoral level courses which will provide the necessary skills and expertise in specialised areas.

IIMV started operations in the Permanent Campus from the Academic Year 2022-23. The campus has excellent infrastructure including state-of-the-art classrooms, Wi-Fi, and other facilities.

This PhD Program Manual will help you to familiarise with our processes and systems. You are required to go through the Handbook thoroughly. I am sure this program will be exciting and enriching and will immensely help you excel in your career.
